Signs of eccentricity

One of the great pleasures of living or travelling in another country is mocking their use of signs.  Without any more ado:

Disco Stu

The pedestrian crossing sign appears to have been modelled on Disco Stu from the Simpsons

School Bus

A school bus for very special children

Nizwa toilets

Toilets for the well-dressed gentlemen and ladies

Child requirements

Who can say why the perfume and child requirements shop has failed to catch on in other countries?

And finally…

Do not cross wadi

Oman is full of paranoid-looking warnings about the danger of wadis: this one sitting above the bus-driver's head. In English presumably so that the passengers are reminded to scream at him if he attempts a crossing.
