Entomological Institute

One advantage of the open design of the university’s buildings is that refreshing breezes pass easily through; another is that assorted insects can easily fly in (with all the glass, it’s slightly more difficult for them to get out).
One visitor was this mantis, which was very interested in my fingers.  Being nibbled by a mantis is surprisingly pleasant:

There are lots of butterflies, but perhaps more interestingly, some gorgeous moths.  This one was hanging round the toilets, but I took my camera in nevertheless:

And from the hotel where we were initially put up, a corking set of antennae:

    I think the mantis and the moth are lovely – as long as they don’t come and nibble me.
